A walk on the wild (river) side

Despite it being rather chilly, about a dozen brave souls donned walking boots and walked around Kennington and Sandford on Sunday 27th November, finishing with a stroll along the Thames near Sandford Lock. To prove that we did it, have a look at a selection of photos taken during the walk.

Why not join us for the next one on 29th January? We’re starting from the George & Dragon car park on the A417 in Upton at 11am, or just join us for lunch from about 1pm in the pub. Bring your walking boots, warm clothes and some clean shoes to change into after the walk. If you do intend to come along, please email, call or text Tracey so that she knows to wait for you and we have an idea how many will be eating in the pub later.

We’re also planning a walk in the spring, probably in late April. We intend to include some woodland for spring interest. And in the summer, we’d like to do a treasure hunt and city walk. If anyone out there has organised a treasure hunt before, we need your help!
